The MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) featured amazing performances by the likes of Niki Manaj, Ariana Grande, Logic, CardiB and the Backstreet Boys. And the awards program generated more than 2.3 million social posts since the start of the red carpet shows. But who were the winners – and losers – on social media?
According to international social media analytics firm Talkwalker, the top trending celebrity was Nicki Manaj with 86.4K mentions, while Ariana Grande was a distant second with 51.6K. Here are the top 10.
1. Nicki Manaj 86.8K
2. Ariana Grande 52.7K
3. Sean Mendes 35.2K
