When launching a start up, the most important part of making it successful is marketing. There are millions of apps out there and thousands created monthly, but only few are uber successful.
Many people suggest that founders will get great success by simply building a great product that people will not only want to use but will talk about and share with their friends. True, a product that is interactive or involves people creating something that they want to boast and share with their friends and social media network is important.
But even moreso is getting the word out to as many people, and many influential people as possible:
- Hire a publicist.
- Got to Meet Ups and Tech conferences.
- Avoid gimmicks but do be creative.
- Create a story and pitch it to tech press.
