Fashion is an enigma to some.
Three female founders got together to de-mystify it all and have used yarn and knitting the catalyst activity.
The trio created an innovative fashion company framed around teaching users how to be creators of fashion, and not just be wearers of it.
The Wool and the Gang is a creative eCommerce site that creates the platform for buyers to knit and create beautiful and stylish scarves, hats, eyeglass frames and other neat and unique pieces.
The Wool and the Gang site also give buyers the option to purchase a finished product. It’s a good option for those among us who are not as ambitions. All are part of “the Gang” of knitters, a community of craftspeople who are reinventing the game.
The story of the brand starts with former design students Aurelie Popper and Jade Harwood who met while studying Textile Design at Central Saint Martins in London.
The two then took their experience they gained at Alexander McQueen and Balmain in Paris and teamed up with ex model and yarn lover Elisabeth Sabrier to found Wool and the Gang.
The team was rounded up with ex-MOO, Yahoo and eBayer Lisa Rodwell who is the CEO working to change the way fashion is created and consumed.
The rest is wooly fashion history!
