TEDDY RUXPIN 2.0: GOOGLE GRANTED PATENTS ON SMART TOYS

Just in time for you to start saving for Christmas, Google is granted patents for smart interactive teddy bears and stuffed rabbits.

The “toys” would be able to not only interact with kids, but also to record data and control devices, TVs, DVRs, in the home.

Privacy concerns have significantly evolved since the patent was first filed in 2012.

Additionally, the laws regarding children and the internet may affect the toys marketability as well.

Techyaya will keep watch to see if Google creates the toys themselves or licenses the technology to a toy manufacturer.
